CARELESSLY MADE, BUT VERY AMUSING COMEDY
J. Steed10 May 1999
Quite carelessly made (with mediocre cutting and cinematography), but very funny and amusing comedy. The beginning is very boring and does not promise much, but the moment we are at the Wolfgangsee the fun starts. It is a pity that the film is weak, because there is enough evidence in the direction that it could have been much better.

The cast is delightful, including sexy Dorit Kreysler (those eyes!) and snappy Leni Marenbach. There were moments that tall Karl Schönbock (playing the head waiter) vaguely reminded me of John Cleese's creation Basil Fawlty (but I might be exaggerating); was it the scene with the ladder?
