- Nora is a young girl who knows little of life outside the convent where she has been educated. Adán, a distant relative, makes her a marriage proposal against his own misogynous men family, who hate women since a brother's bride refused him on their wedding day. She first reluctantly accepts, then writes her betrothal a letter breaking the engagement, and is finally convinced by the nuns to travel to Madrid and meet him. On the train is also traveling a woman who elopes with her beloved, escaping from an obscure past, and takes Nora's luggage by mistake. Newly arrived in Madrid, she is hit by a car driven by Gerardo who is running to his own wedding. He and his aunt doctor take care of her to find out she is left with total amnesia. Mistaken her by the runaway woman they search for her supposed relatives, resulting in a band of thieves entering the scene. Gerardo's aunt has her old private secret too. They will all meet together at Gerardo's wedding party at his rich bride-to-be home. Even Adán will eventually show up. Charming and funny Spanish screwball-style comedy.—BSK
