Warning: Spoilers
There really is no such thing as the good old days.Every decade has a problem. It's New Year Eve in Austria in 1946 at Fanzes house ,played by Moser. He's having a new years eve party with his friends and daughter, played by Thea Weis. He's starts to wish for the good old days of Vienna, that never existed. Then another friend ,dresses up in a costume shows up Haslinger ,played by Karl Skraup. They both toast him to the new year and Haslinger give Franz a Magic ring.this starts to take him on a time journey. He ends up in Viennas in 1815 as an accountant for the government. One of the officials who looks like Moser is a drunk and they get him drunker.Councillor Genz, played by Alfred Neugebauer, and the superintendent ,played by Theodor Danegger, wants Moser to replace the original official, cause he look like him, to discuss the government budget with some official.Well Moser ,now as the official, meets with other government officials ,at the congress dance.Joseph Meinrad,Gisa, Wurm and another actor, I could not decipher. As soon as Franz talks about the budget,a servant come in and tells them that napoleon just invaded creek,it sound like creek but I did not Under stand clearly.Every one takes off.Next got a bit difficult ,but, Moser is now in Austria where they are at war with the Turks in the 1600s.Wurm shows up again. He asked by Alfred Neugebuaer to send some one in the front a message.Well Moser tries but gets caught by the Turks and is question of the Turk officer, played by Joseph Meinrad. He manages to get you of it.Then Moser up in 845 in a Celtics town of northern Europe, where there is threat of invasion, encouraged by ambitious follower of Captain Claudius, until his wife ,played by Marianne Schonauer, suggest to visit the village first,In which Moses manages to stop the invasion. This was a big budget and had called for color, but I guess at that time right after the war two years ,that might have been expensive.Very entertaining 0702/13
