Movie is OK, but singing is great

As an accurate piece of biographical film, I doubt this movie would make it, but the singing of Mario del Monaco is superb. If you enjoy opera, then the singing will not disappoint. The film itself is just an excuse to highlight del Monaco's singing. A young Gina Lollobrigida is a treat.

Oh yeah Mario!

This movie is really cheesy and has some really bad acting. Its's a pleasure to see Gina so young, and she's the second reason to watch this. The primary reason is the stunning, gorgeous singing of the late great Mario Del Monaco. In my humble opinion he is one of the greatest artists from the golden age of opera. He's the reason to watch this silly movie
