Sex & Nudity

  • Male characters are forced to strip naked on the ship during a search; however, this mostly happens "off screen" and nothing revealing is shown. Sailors are seen bare chested while on deck and engaged in work.

Violence & Gore

  • Some scenes on the front lines of a war, however the characters usually escape unscathed. Despite being a "war film," most of the violence is fairly tame.

Profanity

  • Characters do insult and reprimand each other, and do talk behind one another's backs. However there is very little explicit language aside from the occasional light curse word.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Many characters regularly smoke and drink. A man who is very obviously drunk and distraught appears near the end of the movie.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Many scenes do take place on the high seas in the midst of naval battles, with characters lives in danger. However, this is more implied than actually shown, as there is very little actual violence.
