Adorable kitty Pussyfoot; her guardian, ferocious but softhearted bulldog Marc Anthony; and smug Claude Cat live under the same roof. Claude competing for the master's attention and the soft pillows ejects innocent Pussyfoot from her pillow and makes himself at home, until Marc Anthony shows up to beat up Claude. This raises the ire of the master, who warns the bulldog (for what's apparently the umpteenth time) to "leave these cats alone." Shortly after the master's ultimatum, Claude frames sleeping Marc Anthony by inserting Pussyfoot (who's also asleep) in the dog's mouth. The master kicks Marc Anthony out of the house, leaving Claude to taunt his adversary by abusing the kitten. Marc Anthony makes several attempts to punish Claude among them disguising himself as a package and tying a lasso around the evil cat's tail and beating him against the door; each time, the clueless master wards off Marc Anthony. Eventually, Marc Anthony forces Claude to sign a confession and admit his responsibility for the crimes against Pussyfoot. The angry master kicks the thoroughly beaten Claude out of the house and into the street, where he's promptly run over by a streetcar. "Just one of those days, I guess," stammers a groggy Claude.
