This film shows in the tradition of DEFA-Fairytale-films how greedy people become the more they have. It discribes the life of the people in a very pure and simple way, which makes the film very lovely and credible. This is not a film for very young children, but it is good for older ones to get a discussion with their parents after the film. And the effects are for this time really nice.
