Violent & frantic 50's heist movie
arbesudecon29 July 2010
Pleasant surprise, I wonder how the hell this film get the approval of the Spanish censorship, probably because at the beginning there is a small note stating that the crime doesn't pay, so after that kind of green light director probably felt that he can shot whatever he wanted with no restrictions…and he did a hell of a film indeed.

Five men plot to steal the payroll from a isolated factory, Heist goes wrong and it turns into a massacre . They are forced to split up during the escape,so history follows up both the police investigation leading to the criminals who committed the heist and the runaway of the various participants .

Can hardly count the number of people killed here. Film is only about 1h 15 but pace is frantic there is plenty of violence , shootings and prosecutions . Overall the film is very entertaining, no time to get bored here , and whole plot is quite solid , even up to the final scenes .. obviously this is a 50s Spanish film of the 50's the criminals to get away with murder , that simply won't happen. but. Anyway there are many ways to create a climax and this keep up the tension up to the very end of it .
