Mexican singer and actress Flor Silvestre, the film's main leading lady, sings one of her signature songs, "Cielo rojo", in the film. The film was shot in 1957, when Flor recorded the song for the RCA Victor label and was promoting it as a single. She re-recorded the song for the Musart label in 1961.
Mexican singer and actor Miguel Aceves Mejía, the film's male star, recorded an EP that included some of the songs he sang in the film. The EP was recorded for the RCA Victor label and included "Los camperos" and "Viva quien sabe querer" on side one, and "No soy monedita de oro" and "Cielo rojo" (featuring Flor Silvestre) on side two.
