Loosely based on the life of Mary McLeod Bethune, the black American educator.
Submitted to the British Board of Film Censors by the Moral Re-Armament organization and passed with a "U" certificate on 22 August 1960. Opened in London's West End at the Warner cinema on 23 February 1961 and ran for three weeks. Occasionally screened at the MRA-owned Westminster Theatre in London. Although primarily a live theatre, the Westminster had 16mm projection equipment for most of its existence and specialized in MRA plays and films.
