Sex & Nudity

  • Very mild and infrequent sex references. This is a show for the whole family, and most references will go over children's heads.
  • Some scantly clad woman in scenes that involve dancing.

Violence & Gore

  • Very mild. In one episode (The Gunslinger) several people get shot in Rob's dream but it is meant to be funny. You don't see any blood, you just hear the shot and the person falls over.
  • In "My Mother Can Beat Up My Father," there are several scenes where Laura "beats up" other people with her judo.

Profanity

  • Sometimes Gosh or Darn
  • None. "Son of a gun" is used sometimes but is not considered profanity.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Some characters smoke throughout the series. In one episode, Pickles brings Ritchie some chocolate cigarettes.
  • Characters sometimes drink throughout the series. Mostly wine at parties, and there are a couple episodes with beer.
  • In one episode (My Husband is a Drunk), Rob is hypnotized so that he acts drunk. He is not actually drunk, though.
  • There is one episode (Pink Pills and Purple Parents) that Laura takes Millie's prescription medicine and it affects her badly. She acts like she is drunk, but she is not, it is just from the medicine.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There are a couple episodes that may be considered "scary" for young children, but since this is a family show, it is not very scary. In one episode (The Ghost of A. Chantz), Rob, Laura, Buddy, and Sally stay in what they believe is a haunted cabin.
  • In another episode, Rob has a bad dream (It May Look Like a Walnut) and it can be considered slightly scary for younger children.
