- There is some alcohol drinking in this film. Several scenes are set in clubs. Both Silien and Jean drink and order drinks.
- The police allude to the fact that a man deals drugs.Heroin and cocaine are referenced and the police discuss a vice squad raid, but no drugs or drug use is shown.
- An incident in which a man was very drunk is referenced briefly on at least two separate occasions.
- No intoxication is depicted in the film.

- Some of the violence is graphic. A couple gunshot wounds are shown bleeding and many crime scenes are shown, including how they are rearranged after people are murdered. Many main characters are shot and killed.
- A man slaps around a woman and then ties her to a radiator. It is later shown that she was killed by rolling her car off a cliff.
- A man kills two men whom are revealed to be innocent.
- A man is hired as an assassin to kill a man.
- A shootout occurs at the end of the film. A man is shot in the back and the wound is shown bleeding.
