Das Kleid was forbidden by the GDR's censorship in 1961, as the authorities felt that this adaptation of Andersen's fairy-tale was too much of a criticism of their own dictatorship in socialist East-Germany. It's a beautifully done film with good camera angles and occasional expressionistic visions.
