Sex & Nudity

  • A man says he had a relationship a while ago with a woman.
  • A teen girl says she has been a prostitute.
  • Another teen girl says she has also been a prostitute.
  • A woman lays on a bed by herself with some thigh showing. she covers up when two men walk in.

Violence & Gore

  • Three teen boys in a gang go around New York in East Harlem and cause much havoc amongst many of the smaller children. (Balloon popping, shoving, pushing into a wall, ruining games that children play, etc.)
  • Teens are shown trying to drown a Philippine boy in a pool during a flashback. Ending with one boy trying to save him from his death. And is then looked down on by the teens trying to drown him.
  • During the court case, the detective asks the murdered boys sister to touch the head of the boys who she saw murder her little brother. She goes by one by one of the three gang members but when she puts her hand on di Pace, and hits him hard in anger with him covering his head in pain and defense. The men pull her off of him, and she returns to the chair.
  • During the court case the judge says if there are any more outbursts, the next person doing the outbursting will be gagged. diPace is last to outburst and is gagged with a handkerchief yelling and fighting them in the act.

Profanity

  • Uses of damn, hell. (1960's profanity)
  • When during the court case Roberto's sister explains that her job was being a prostitute, the main attorney says, "What did your mother say when you told her that you were a prostitute..." and Roberto's sister says, "Why didn't we let her die."in a sad voice, and somberly walks back to her seat with her mother looking at her shamefully.

Violence & Gore

  • A flashback is shown from a teen in a gang fight between the Thunderbirds and the Horsemen, with the Horsemen using guns in the fight, shortly after you see the camera pan and It shows Roberto Escalante, the blind boy murdered, getting handed guns and hiding them in his coat. Shortly after the police come, only to find no traces of guns on the Horsemen.
  • A man is beaten in a subway almost to death by a gang (maybe the Horsemen because of the metal chains they leave behind) and picks up a teen by the neck and almost chokes him to death but the subway conductor beats his hands off the boy so he doesn't kill him. He runs off. The man who was beaten is seen recovering in the hospital with his family, not that hurt only three cracked ribs and some cuts and bruises.
