Interesting, but depressing

Warning: Spoilers
It could have been a Ralph Nelson, I don't know why. The writing, the style. Directors from TV. It's not a war movie, but rather a war drama. It takes place in Italy, during WW2. Tha tale of an American spy who hides in an apartment. But the woman who lives in it is herself the mistress of a German officer.

Of course, there is some tensions. It's really not a Hollywood production. You can easily loose your attention. But it deserves to be seen. It reminds me some Italian movies from the late 4O's or early 50's.

Rory Calhoun is unusual in this little feature.

Again, a typical film from a former TV .
