VOICE-OVER AS COVER UP FOR SO-SO DIRECTION
J. Steed6 September 1999
This could have been a simple and charming "screwball comedy like" film, and there are a few successful and funny scenes, but on the whole Alex von Ambesser's treatment makes this film tedious viewing. The weak point is the ever present voice-over as story-teller (Von Ambesser himself), annoyingly commenting on the story as if Von Ambesser was afraid the viewer would not understand it, and probably also covering up for not being capable enough to stage the irony of the comments.

The cast is average but acceptable, with the exception of Letitia Roman who may have had a beautiful name and may look nice in her undies, but is not up to the job.
