Rock and roll star comes home
Little-Mikey31 August 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Like the majority of musicals, the "boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl back" formula is used in this movie. That being said, this movie is really quite enjoyable. What is there not to enjoy about this movie? Bobby Solo plays Bobby Tonner, an American rock and roll star and the son of an Italian immigrant, who visits Naples to look up an old friend of his father, who happens to be a music professor of a music academy.

The music professor hates rock and roll with a passion, so Bobby Tonner is on his best behavior and as a result, the professor takes a fond liking to this gentleman from America. But Tonner's fame as a rock and roll star proceeds him. And groupies gather around the professor's home to get a glimpse at their idol.

Of course the professor has a beautiful daughter who Tonner falls madly in love with. As if the professor's hatred towards rock and roll is not enough to put a damper on the star's budding romance, there is also a love-rival who would resort to devious measures to get her man.

Bobby Solo is a famous rock and roll star in Italy who not only is bilingual (English and Italian), he is also one of the best Elvis impersonators (if not the best).
