Having grown up with the Nes and Snes, I have fond memories of Capcom’s iconic Mega Man franchise. I can still remember the countless hours spent trying to conquer the challenge of taking down the eight Master Robots of Mega Man 2. As you are probably aware of, though, Capcom hasn’t been in a rush to develop any new titles in the franchise, despite the character’s enduring popularity. And with most of the staff behind the classic entries in the series now long gone, including Keiji Inafune, it appears that it may be a long time before we get a new Blue Bomber adventure.
Despite the lack of new instalments, though, Capcom is more than willing to re-release the classic adventures of Mega Man onto new consoles. While previous compilations brought the series onto other systems, the Digital Eclipse-developed Mega Man Legacy Collection is the first set to grace the Nintendo 3Ds.

No Escape

How many foreign lives does it take to save a white American family? Thanks to the new chase-yarn, No Escape, we now have an answer. The guiltiest of guilty pleasures, director John Erick Dowdle has expertly crafted a taut action-thriller crammed with enough white privilege to make The Donald blush. Surprisingly, it’s the intense performance of Owen Wilson that might allow you to curb your conscience and go along for the ride. It’s undeniably fun… if you don’t think about it too much.
Watching No Escape is a decidedly schizophrenic experience. On the one hand, John Erick Dowdle and his brother, Drew, have written an earnest script that takes its peril very seriously. All of the primary characters (who just happen to be Westerners) are constructed with the utmost care; giving each...

While your experience may differ, the amount of remasters and collections we have seen in this generation of consoles has always been a point of contention and subject of conversation, at least in my group of friends and peers. I myself go back and forth on this topic all the time. For one, I would like to see companies allocating more resources towards newer games, rather than simply rehashing older titles, many of which I have in my personal collection. On the other hand, a few of these remasters and re-releases are notable for making it much easier to actually get your hands on certain games (Grim Fandango Remastered comes to mind). Furthermore, some of these titles are merely meant to tide us over until a new entry in a series releases, such as the newly released Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, or the upcoming Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.

Boss fights are almost always a game's highlight, but some are more challenging than others. Here's our top 25...
In the world of videogames bosses aren't the kind of authority figures that'll give you a last minute report to do, or delegate to you tasks they simply can't be bothered doing. No, these bosses would rather take that report, roll it up into a ball, set fire to it, and throw it at your face. The only delegation they're interested in is getting you to test the sharpness of their axe, or the effectiveness of a new spell.
The end level boss is almost as old as videogaming itself, and many genres have some form of superior foes awaiting you at the end of a level, area or mission. These bosses are often large, overpowered beasts that make the foes you've faced thus far seem tame in comparison,...

Last night, Nintendo held another Direct Video presentation specifically about the newest Super Smash Bros. game. While many of us were hoping for official release dates for the 3Ds and Wii U versions of the game, we instead got release "windows" with a load of other information on new characters and stages. Now that it's over, we've gathered up all the information and screenshots from the video in one spot for you. Come inside to check it all out!
The most important news fans were hoping to hear, never actually came. Super Smash Bros. still doesn't have any specific release dates yet, but Nintendo did offer up some release windows. Apparently both versions of the game (on the 3Ds and Wii U) will be releasing separately:

With the upcoming Berlinale competition premiere of Die geliebten Schwestern (The Beloved Sisters, actually shot back in 2012), Dominik Graf remains in the festival spotlight after a big Rotterdam retrospective last year (full disclosure: programmed and accompanied by the Ferroni Brigade) introduced the work of this astonishing—and astonishingly prolific—German director to international audiences. But while his Berlin-bound Schiller epic is one of Graf's increasingly rare excursions into the theatrical terrain, his TV schedule has been as hectic as ever, with several new works lined up for release this year. Thus, somewhat shockingly, 2013 saw only a single Graf premiere: Aus der Tiefe der Zeit ("From the Depths of Time") is his third contribution for Germany's enduringly popular prime time crime show Tatort ("Crime Scene"), and confirms Graf's maddening tempo—both in its appearance and execution: The episode was shot in late spring...
