Perhaps the most famous of the "musicarello" and little else

"Non son degno di te" (I do't deserve you ) is a "musicarello" style film, perhaps the most successful of the many that have been made in Italy during the 60s. The interpreters are the well-known singer Gianni Morandi and the actress Laura Efrikian, a romantic couple who acted together in 3 other films. The story told is very naive; Gianni a young soldier who in civil life is a romantic singer falls in love with the sergeant's daughter but the relationship is disturbed by jealousies that almost break up the courtship. The performances are poor, the film direction is only reasonable and in the end it is just a popular film production in the tone of a romantic comedy to take advantage of Morandi's success as a singer and the song that gives the film its title and that already existed before.
