WATCH THIS FOR HEINZ ERHARDT ONLY
J. Steed24 August 1999
Comedian Heinz Erhardt contributes his usual charm and wit to this standard format "summer holiday" by the dozen comedy. He is the only real feature of this film, but a typical Heinz Erhardt vehicle it is not as in about 1/3 of the film he is not present at all. Without him the film, aimed at Germans who could not yet afford a holiday abroad, would have been hardly worth watching.

Average if not dull direction and a script with no surprises make this film into nothing special; the best thing that can be said about the script that it at least has a couple of funny verbal jokes for Erhardt (or did he improvise?). The film includes a couple of mediocre songs, the usual gathering of not so interesting teenagers (Corny Collins is nice though) and the unavoidable calf-loves. Teneriffa makes a nice background.
