  Abare Goemon : They offer us their territories? Sounds so generous of them. But there will be strings attached. Think about it. They just want to keep us under control in their own territory. They'll tax us just as heavily as before. They'll search every corner of the house to find our money. Taxes when we take a bride. Taxes when we open a window. When a war starts, they'll collect one horse and two men per household. And what do they do with them? They'll keep them in a stable, eat them when they wish. We've been through all that before.
