  • Protagonist whipping the archer's sister seems to have a sadomasochistic component to it.

  • An archer shoots a dove. He is seen frequently with a bow and arrow, once narrowly missing a woman.

  • There are two shocking scenes where a young boy walks on the outer edge of a parapet walk and it is feared he will fall. Later a matronly woman is almost compelled to step off the parapet to her death below.
