Sex & Nudity

- Considerable sexual conversation including some frank homosexual references. In addition, the words "penis" and "semen" are used when discussing a crime scene.
- A dead naked body is found in an apartment however the nudity is obscured from the viewer by a plant.
- A woman removes her bra for a man but the nudity is unseen.
- A man and a woman sleep together offscreen a few times and one time we see her in bed after the sex and she is definately naked under the sheets.
- A naked old man is interrogated and we see the side of his buttocks.
- Some kissing including homosexual kissing.
Violence & Gore

- We see a dead naked body(nudity obscured) in an apartment. There is some blood and although we don't actually see it we are told that the victim was castrated and his fingers were shredded and cut off.
- Some cops push around and mistreat some homosexuals.
- Some fisticuffs(some resulting in mild blood).
- Two men are killed in a shootout.
- Violence is talked about and the rape and murder of a young girl is briefly referenced.
- A man is executed in the electric chair and this is seen a second time in a flashback near the end of the film(the scene is brief with no gore or blood but some may find it disturbing).
- A man falls to his death(we see it from his perspective).
- A man is beaten to death with an ashtray(pretty bloody).
Profanity

- Moderate use of bad language such as damn, hell, goddamn, ass, crap, son of a bitch, bastard, whore, bitch, and "eat turd". The words "screwing" and "ball" are used to reference intercourse. Several derogatory terms for homosexuals such as fag, faggot, queer, queen, etc.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Consistent alcohol consumption and cigarette smoking throughout the film as well as a few drug references but no drugs are shown being used.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- This is a gritty detective film so elements of the film will be disturbing to some.
