The sun, the moon, the stars

If you need some english teaching lessons ... well maybe this isn't the best place to start, but it isn't the worst either ... you might also learn how to sing too - all in one go. All kidding aside though, Roy Black who was quite the hot commodity back in his heyday (and some time later as my older sister surely can attest to) and this is another showcase of his talents.

It is all quite "innocent", though that does not mean that between all the singing you won't get evil things ... like pranks. Not the biggest fan of those things, but they are supposed to be fun ... and it is a movie. Like a predecessor to Kevin and his home alone things. Not saying that the movie took any ideas from this ... just saying that there were movies with Home Alone elements way before ... that movie came out.

So depending on your sensibility and however you can stomach the singing (which is quite nice and is not filling up the movie too much, for my taste), you might have a good time ...

Pleasant entertainment from earlier times!

It is unfair to rate films from those times by today's standards and give them few stars. This film is definitely a better part for entertainment in terms of the naivety of the time. It is an enjoyable story whose narrative is not arbitrary. The film is a mixture of home novel, musical and music video. With stars that attracted people to the cinemas at that time. Especially Peter Weck is pleasant, because he could show that the now great theater director liked to have fun and also spread it. You have to see in this film the heartbeat of a cinematic era, which today in Germany has long ceased to beat so magically.
