- Patroni is an avid cigar smoker, deciding to take a big risk because he's out of cigars and was promised a box by Bakersfeld if he could free a stuck plane.
- Gwen has a cupboard full of small bottles of booze she and other stewardesses took from various flights.
- Guerro, Mrs. Quansett and the man to her right all order drinks from the stewardess and are seen drinking them. The man asks her if she wants another, she is slightly surprised, says she shouldn't, then agrees to have another drink.
