Sex & Nudity

  • Lots of sexual conversation.
  • Barbara Streisand's character Doris wears a lot of sexy revealing outfits often showing ample cleavage. One outfit has images of hands on the breast part of the outfit and another time we see her in a bra. Briefly a few times you can see a small part of her butt sticking out of her underwear.
  • A man puts his hand on Doris' knee and is later seen paying her in her apartment indicating that he is a john.
  • George Segal's character Felix goes to a dirty movie called "Cycle Sluts" and we hear some risque dialogue from the film and we see audience members leering but we don't see the actual film.
  • A sex scene between Doris and Felix in which we see much kissing, clothes being removed(no shown nudity) lots of movement(but nothing very graphic) under a blanket, moaning and suggestive dialogue, rolling around, and limbs flailing.
  • Doris dances suggestively in a gentlemen's club and a man slaps her on the rear.
  • A group of men are seen looking up a woman's skirt(we only see legs however).
  • Doris and Felix kiss and start to remove each others clothes in bed. The scene ends there implying that they had sex.
  • Doris and Felix sit naked in a large bath together(no seen nudity).
  • Felix shows his penis to Doris early in the film(nudity completely obscured by objects.).
  • A brief non-explicit shot of a sex magazine called "Screw" at a news stand.
  • A man invites Doris into his shop to have sex. We later see him in an undershirt and boxer shorts. Doris leaves without having sex with him.
  • We see another couple in bed kissing(they are clearly naked under the blanket but we don't see the nudity).

Violence & Gore

  • Played for laughs but in several scenes Doris and Felix push and pull each other around at times knocking each other off their feet in acts of agressiveness.
  • Doris beats up Felix early in the film(played comically).
  • Doris slaps Felix knocking him over.
  • Doris attacks a man for slapping on her rear in a club and is forcibly ejected as a result.

Profanity

  • A fair amount of mild language: 2-3 uses of "shit", 5+ uses of "ass", 5+ uses of "goddamn", 5+ uses of "damn", 3 uses of "whore", 5+ uses of "slut"(word also seen on a movie poster), 4+ uses of "son of a bitch"(once only mouthed), 3-5+ uses of "hell", 2+ uses of "crap", 1 use of "up yours", 1 use of "screw" referring to the name of a sex magazine(also written), and a few religious exclamations.
  • When first meeting Felix, the angry Doris, thinking that he is gay, calls him a series of offensive terms for homosexuals such as, "pansy", "fag", "faggy", "fruit", "fruitcake", "queer", and "fairy."
  • Other insults are said throughout the film such as "weasel", "rat", "fink", "creep", "pervert", etc.
