The American TV spots for the film's 1973 release by National General Pictures (under the title "The Chinese Professionals") used the international main theme for Bruce Lee's film The Big Boss (1971) (a fellow Golden Harvest production, also distributed in the US by National General Pictures), composed by Peter Thomas. The original Mandarin language versions of both films had music arranged by Fu-Ling Wang, and both films were censored shortly after their Hong Kong releases due to violent content.
Geoffrey Weeks ('Braithwaite' from Enter the Dragon (1973)) provided the voice of Tien Lung's teacher for the UK dubbed version.
