This where it jumps the shark Warning: Spoilers
"Morgen fällt die Schule aus" is the sixth of seven Lümmel films, a German film series from the late 1960s, early 1970s that focuses on a gang of students, especially a teenage boy named Pepe, who keep playing pranks on their teachers Here and there we get some music, some drama and also some romance. This is also partially true for this penultimate film we have here, but this only refers to music, drama and romance. The heart and should of these films have always been the classroom pranks and looking at the almost complete absence of classroom scenes here, I would almost go so far and say this film has little to do with the series anymore. Heintje already showed up in films 2 and 4 (both with peter Alexander), and he is in here too again, but without Alexander this time. And it shows certainly that he is not the greatest actor unfortunately as he is as much of a lead as Hansi Kraus (not the greatest actor himself) in here. But what is possibly the worst about this film is the crime plot. This one felt so uninteresting and out of place. It's perfectly fine if they wanted to try a new direction, maybe to avoid getting repetitive, but with what they went here its was a major disappointment. The cast is still pretty solid, even if you miss some of the big very famous names from previous films. Winnetou fans will be delighted to see Ralf Wolter in here. However, for me personally, this was the first film where I was genuinely disappointed with the story and plot, which is especially sad as I like Schündler's Knörz a lot and he has lots of screen time in here. But he has no convincing story either. I give it a thumbs-down. Watch something else instead.

Rubbish II

Looking back to the 70ies I can hardly believe that anybody really liked these films - obviously they VISITED them, otherwise they wouldn't have shot about five or six parts. Maybe some girls liked to see Hansi Kraus...

The only interesting thing is that you hardly find a plot, it's just "a string of pearls", but the pearls were replaced for limping gags. If you like fun at school, why don't you see "Carry on teacher" which is older, but much better.
