Beautiful cinematography sums it up!

Very inspiring because the good guy wins! Crime doesn't pay! Everybody needs a hero and Tarzan comes through once again in the wilds of Alaska!!! Four stars seems a bit generous but we enjoyed the laughs and the cliffhanger, tension filled moments!!! What better entertainment can you find in Ukraine on a Saturday night? This is a MUST SEE if you love Louis Lamour novels!!! What can I say? The hero gave the little boy Jimmy good moral direction and valued human life. Men are men and women are women and boys will be boys when it comes to fighting. And THESE men don't share sleeping bags. But that is another story better left untold. The name of this movie is forgettable!

The worst movie I've seen.
sbarrett-322 November 2000
A low-budget Swedish film. Stars Ron Ely of 'Tarzan' Fame as Billy Robinson, the Quintessential, all around nice guy. The film takes place in 1903 'Gold-Rush' Happycamp, Alaska. The nasty Tornado Kid has come to town looking to revenge the killing of his brother...and Billy is the prime suspect.

What follows is some of the worst acting, horrid dialogue, and laughable fight scenes ever put to film. The highlight is when Billy starts dodging bullets.

This is a real laugher, a must-have for the ultimate 'BAD' movie collection.

Worst film I've ever seen

This must be the worst film ever made in the history of films! It was so bad (acting, dialogs, plot, stunts, etc.) that it was almost embarrassing to watch. It made me wonder how desperate the actors must have been to sign a contract for a film of such low quality. I almost felt sorry for them. It would be impossible to write a spoiler for this one because it was so foreseeable that you'll know how it's going to end once you're about 10 minutes into the story. When I first saw one of the terrible German "Winnetou" movies I thought the film industry had finally hit rock bottom, but this is even worse because it even lacks what little sense of humor there was in the Karl May movies. A total waste of time and celluloid!

A Film That Really Summarizes The West...West Germany!
FightingWesterner19 May 2014
Warning: Spoilers
In the wild's of Alaska, macho mountain man Ron Ely is robbed of his team of Huskies by a gold-hungry prospector. When the man turns up dead on Ely's sled, the robber's nasty friends and vengeful sister take over the nearest town and threaten to hang a young boy, unless Ely returns to face them.

German made, with very little outside participation, you can call this a Schnitzel western. Sets and costumes are fairly unique, a very German interpretation of the old-west. Too bad the movie isn't that good, with a paper-thin plot and uninteresting characters. Ely is rugged though.

There's some decent photographed scenery (possibly the Alps?) and a few good outdoor adventure scenes. However, animal lovers and sensitive viewers might be put off by a scene involving the aftermath of an attack on Ely's dogs by a pack of savage wolves, showing in grisly detail the bloody, partially devoured animals! It looked pretty real.

Some press material claims this was based on a Jack London story. I suspect not.
