It's a madhouse, literally
unbrokenmetal25 February 2008
George Hilton continues his role as Tresette in "Di Tresette ce n'è uno, tutti gli altri son nessuno" from the previous "Lo chiamavano Tresette... giocava sempre col morto" by the same director, featuring mostly the same cast again. The movie is running out of ideas a bit; it actually was the last time Hilton and Carnimeo worked on such a western comedy together. Nevertheless, it is still good enough to be fun... after a few beers. This time, Tresette is looking for a man hiding in a madhouse (hardly any difference between the inmates and the doctors there!) who has hidden the key to a box full of gold. Tresette has many opponents, but also a bag of gadgets including a birthday cake full of dynamite, a gun which will fire when he whistles and, most imaginative, a big stick to hit people over the head. And why not.

Silly slapstick Euro-western, Terence Hill-Bud Spencer style with ordinary Spaghetti actors : George Hilton and Cris Huerta .
ma-cortes3 September 2018
Goofy , entertaining and amusing tongue-in-cheek Spaghetti or Pasta Western . Funny Ravioli western that packs action , thrills , slapdash , slapstick , brawls and laughs . This stirring picture contains Western noisy action , gun-play , fun situations and bits of humor . The film gets the comic remarks from Western parody united the features of typical Spaghetti . Offbeat Western comedy with a hero named ¨Tricky¨ or Tresette / Tricky Dicky played by George Hilton who looks partially ¨Sartana¨ . It is a bemusing SW with lots of mayhem , crossfire and nutty incidents ; however , being slightly mediocre . This time the new hero is named ¨Tresette¨ or ¨Tricky Dicky¨ (George Hilton) who wields his swift Colt which displays unexpected and magic resources . He is a elegant gunman and his companion is called Paco (Chris Huerta) . Both of whom join forces to find 100.000 dollars from a train assault by traveling in a Boots-carriage through gang-infested lands , while in disguise as a shoes seller and a cobbler ; while at a madhouse is the only clue to its whereabouts . As ¨Tricky¨ poses as a seller , along the way he is looking for a man hiding in an asylum fulll of bizarre and insane roles as the Asylum Director (Umberto D'Orsi ) or the Keyguard (Pagnani) . Later on , he has to overcome various gunmen and members of the Ku Klux Klan . Being accompanied by the sympathetic chubby and hunk Paco . The resourceful hero , freelance gunman , named ¨Tricky Dicky¨ appears to chase nasty gunfighters and being mercilessly pursued by an extremely silly pistolero dressed in black called Venom (Tony Norton) . The confrontation will be inevitable between the mean cutthroats (Nello Pazzafini) , villainous gunslingers as the stuttering Frisco Joe (Riccardo Garrone) and , of course , ¨Tricky¨.

Nutty slapstick euro-pudding-western, Terence Hill-Bud Spencer style . Amusingly starred by George Hilton, being accompanied by the big and forceful Paco ; it is plenty of action , shootouts , tongue-firmly in cheek , double-crosses , fights with lots of punches , kick-ass , bounds , leaps , twists and loads of shots . The movie takes parts from Enzo Barboni movies such as ¨Trinity is my name¨ and ¨Trinity is still my name¨ . The film is filled with action , fun , brawls , shootouts , surprise-filled entertainment ; though average , nevertheless , it is still good enough to be fun . It does eventually outstay its welcome , and there are a surprising amount of fights and laughter . This is a regular Faglioli-Spaghetti Western in Trinity and Bambino style and that's why there is a cult to idiocy surrealism , silliness , dirtiness with an appropriately goofy tone , customary issue in this sub-genre . The picture contains funny gun-play along with fist-fight very much in the Terence Hill/Bud Spencer territory . The violence isn't crude but suits the light-weight comedy fun and silly slapstick like the Trinity series . It certainly has an enthusiastic cast , plenty of slapstick , some very impressive gymnastics , especially in the massive fight sequences ; however , he movie is running out of imagination a bit . ¨Tricky¨ or ¨Tresette¨is a two-fisted and tough gunfighter with technical weaponry and a lot of tricks similarly to previous Sabata .¨Tricky¨ is another hero of second class in the S.W. genre as Sabata (Lee Van Cleef) and Sartana (Gianni Garco) . Here Hilton as Tresette in "Di Tresette ce n'è uno, tutti gli altri son nessuno" goes on his character from the previous "Lo chiamavano Tresette... giocava sempre col morto" by the same filmmaker , featuring mostly the same artistic and technician team again . The Uruguay-born George Hilton was a Spaghetti first-star such as ¨ Sartana no perdone¨ , ¨Go kill and come back¨ , ¨Kitosch¨ , ¨They call me Alleluja¨ , ¨Ruthless four¨ , ¨Alleluja for Django¨ , and also played successful Giallio as ¨The strange vice of Mrs Wardh¨ , ¨The scorpion's tale¨, ¨All colors of the dark¨ , ¨My deal Killer¨ . He teams up , as co-protagonist , with the Spanish Chris Huerta , he is one , (along with Tito Garcia , Ricardo Palacios , Pedro Sánchez, and the great Fernando Sancho) of the ordinary support characters who accompanied to starring in the multiple Spaghetti/Paella Westerns of the 60s and 70s . The movie gets the usual Italian Western issues , such as greedy antiheroes , violent facing off , quick zooms , exaggerated baddies , among them . It appears ordinary secondary actors who are habitual in Italian Western and Peplum genre , such as : Nello Pazzafini , Riccardo Garrone , Umberto D'Orsi , Goffredo Unger , Fortunato Arena and veteran Renato Baldini as a banker who uses a cannon against assaulting men .

This bewildering picture gets the humorous remarks from Western parody combined to features of Spaghetti picture and was excessively silly directed by Giuliano Carmineo or Anthony Scott , who directed Westerns with Spaghetti-hero named Sartana , usually played by Gianni Garco and George Hilton . Giuliano Carmineo , alias Anthony Ascott, directed various Sartana with George Hilton who replaces Gianni Garco , as Hilton played more natural and roguish than Garco who was cold and peculiar . Giuliano Carmineo realized several Spaghettis , most of them featuring mainly the same cast again , such as "Di Tresette Ce N'è Uno, Tutti Gli Altri son Nessuno" ,Uomo Avvisato Mezzo Ammazzato... Parola Di Spirito Santo¨ (original title) or "His Name Was Holy Ghost" "Lo Chiamavano Tresette... Giocava Sempre Col Morto" that actually was the last time George Hilton/Chris Huerta and Carnimeo worked on such a western comedy together , ¨The moment to kill¨, ¨Find a place to die¨ , ¨They call him Cemetery¨ , ¨They call me Hallaluya¨ , and the Sartana movies : "Have a Good Funeral, My Friend, Sartana Will Pay" , ¨Sartana the gravedigger'(69) ,"Sartana's Coming, Get Your Coffins Ready" , ¨Light the fuse Sartana is coming¨(1971) , among others . Giuliano also directed other kinds of genres , as Sci-Fi : ¨Exterminators of the year 3000¨, ¨Computron¨, Giallo : ¨The case of the bloody iris¨ , Crime thriller : ¨Secrets of a Call Girl¨ , Buddy movie films : ¨Convoy Buddies" or "Kid Stuff" , "The Diamond Peddlers" . This "They Called Him the Player with the Dead" or "In the West There Was a Man Named Invincible" is clearly inferior to his entries in Sartana series . Rating : 4/10 . Below average but amusing .

Extremely silly spagwest
Leofwine_draca28 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
THE CRAZY BUNCH is very much of those comedy spaghetti westerns in the same mould as the Terence Hill and Bud Spencer collaborations, but this is even sillier and more far-fetched, if you can imagine that. George Hilton is the goofy anti hero of the piece, his character Tricky Dicky (!) looking for a box of hidden gold while a madman has the only clue to its whereabouts. The usual slapstick, sped-up comedy antics ensue, and even the Ku Klux Klan play a part in the proceedings. Highbrow this isn't: it's just very, very silly.
