Sex & Nudity

  • A little girl asks a priest a number of sexual questions, including whether or not priests "do it". When he tells her to stop, she accuses him of being "either a goddamned queer, or impotent".
  • A woman is seen in a brothel, dressed as a prostitute with her hair overdone in mousse, a leather corset and underwear. She drunkenly states that she "lays delicious pigs".
  • Some kissing, hugging.
  • A man accuses an old woman of making fake love potions.

Violence & Gore

  • An infant is sacrificed as part of some kind of Satanic ritual. The deceased infant's corpse is not shown, however a child discovers the corpse and is visibly shaken by it.
  • A man has his penis sliced off with a pen knife (see 'Sex & Nudity').
  • An infant is kidnapped.
  • An old witch flings herself out of an upper window to her death.
  • After causing upstairs rooms to be filled with frogs and toads, the witch child is seen crawling on the floor like a snake. Then she gets up and the top part of her body rotates while the bottom part remains facing the camera.

Profanity

  • Many sexual phrases, including "lay/laid", "well hung", "queer", "delicious pig", "whore", "make love", "sex" and "impotent".
  • Some swearing, including uses of "bitch", "bastard", "damn/goddamn", "hell", "Jesus Christ", "fuck" and "cunt".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A priest states that teenagers are bored of having fun with just "sex and drugs".
  • Men smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol in various background scenes.
  • The use of "love potions" is mentioned.
  • A prostitute lays in bed drinking a bottle of alcohol.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The film's main character, a witch inhabiting the body of a child, is quite visually unattractive with prominently balding hair, black eyes, a crooked mouth, pallid skin and facial hair. In one scene, this character skitters down a brick wall head-first in a supernatural manner. This may frighten younger viewers.
  • The vulgar language and sexual behaviour of a child may disturb some viewers.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • A man initiates sex with a woman in a cemetery. The woman morphs into a little girl, attacking him, after which she tells him that he is "well hung". She unzips his trousers, removes his penis and slices it off with a pen knife. She then wraps it up like a Christmas present and proceeds to mail the missing genitalia to a police inspector.

Violence & Gore

  • An old woman commits suicide by jumping out a window. She is seen with her face cut by shards of glass, after which she falls on the ground, dead.
  • A little girl has a crucifix burned into her forehead, after which she collapses and dies.
  • The witch child backs up after being burned with a crucifix. She backs into a sharp-pointed cross which was used to stave a witch's grave. She morphs back from an old woman to a young girl and dies.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There is some on-screen violence and death, including the sudden death of a little girl, a man being castrated to death, and an infant being sacrificed.
  • A young, wealthy horseback rider is rejected by a friend, who is becoming a priest. She decides to work as a prostitute. This character is later said to have died. She breaks down crying on-screen, and the scene is somewhat upsetting.
