Goldilocks' mother (Carole King) is shown working on a needlepoint that reads, "My Life is a Tapestry". Tapestry is her most famous album.
The original fairy tale was about a silver haired old woman who encountered three bears. When they caught the old lady, the bears attempted to kill her in numerous ways and none of them worked. She wouldn't burn or drown, so they ended up impaling her on a church steeple.
The backdrop and production design were inspired by the art of famous American artist Norman Rockwell.
This episode is the only one that originally aired in January.
This episode features an extended story based on the events of the original fairy tale, in which Goldilocks' visit to the Bears' house is only a small portion of the overall plot.
