By 1942, Orde Wingate been promoted to Major General. He had developed guerrilla warfare units, the Chindits, which were deployed in Burma. However has a staff officer, in Palestine, he saw it has religious duty to create a Jewish State.
Wingate finds himself at odds with British policy when he supports a Jewish Palestine. His training of the Jewish minority sees him posted to Ethopia to run an anti-aircraft battery. Wingate begins patrols to harass the Italian positions.
Reduced in rank to Major, Wingate is given a second chance by General Wavell who posts him to India. Windgate's ideas are scorned by fellow officers but he forms the Chindits to use for a long-range jungle penetration mission into Burma.
