  Farmer Hale : Well, I expect to get my just desserts.

  Clark : [as Farmer Hale is walking towards the drunk tank]  Right. Why be different?

  Dep. Gallo : No kidding, Harry. They wrecked everything: fences, chicken coops, cow barns, everything!

  Sheriff Niebold : [exasperated]  Oh, put it in your report. I don't want to hear anymore.

• Dep. Gallo : [over radio]  Deputy Gallo to Chief Nielbold!

  Sheriff Niebold : [turns on speaker]  Go ahead, Jerry. Where are you?

  Dep. Gallo : I'm relaxing in a mud bath out on Farmer Hale's ranch!

  Farmer Hale : And it'll cost you to the nose to fix it, you flatfoot bastard!

• Sheriff Niebold : [over the intercom radio as Hoover and Darlene ride back into town]  All right, son. This is my final offer: probation and thirty percent of your salary. If I tried to do anymore than that, I'd have to resign!

  Dep. Brookside : Well, you'll have to resign anyway, Harry.

  Dep. Gallo : Yeah, the jig's up!

  Dep. Brookside : Oh, yeah, you're finished.

  Sheriff Niebold : SHUT UP, WILL YA?

  Dep. Brookside : Thirty percent of what?

  Dep. Gallo : Yeah, who would give that punk a job?
