Danièle Delorme and Jean Gabin in 'Deadlier Than the Male.' Danièle Delorme movies (See previous post: “Danièle Delorme: 'Gigi' 1949 Actress Became Rare Woman Director's Muse.”) “Every actor would like to make a movie with Charles Chaplin or René Clair,” Danièle Delorme explains in the filmed interview (ca. 1960) embedded further below, adding that oftentimes it wasn't up to them to decide with whom they would get to work. Yet, although frequently beyond her control, Delorme managed to collaborate with a number of major (mostly French) filmmakers throughout her six-decade movie career. Aside from her Jacqueline Audry films discussed in the previous Danièle Delorme article, below are a few of her most notable efforts – usually playing naive-looking young women of modest means and deceptively inconspicuous sexuality, whose inner character may or may not match their external appearance. Ouvert pour cause d'inventaire (“Open for Inventory Causes,” 1946), an unreleased, no-budget comedy notable...

There’s nothing better than having luminous skin! But since you can’t always naturally get a glow going, allow us to show you our favorite bronzers and highlighters.
Glowing skin makes you look healthy and gives you a certain je nais se quoi. Unfortunately, since we can’t live on juice cleanses or consistently get eight hours of sleep a night, we have to fake it ’till we make it! The best way to give your skin a little luminosity is to use a bronzer and highlighter on your face. This one-two punch will give you cheekbones, a defined jaw line, and of course — a glow.
Best Bronzer — Powders & More
To get your glow going, you’ll first need to start with bronzer. Apply it on your temples, the hollows of your cheeks, and the side of your jawline for a contouring effect. We love Le Metier de Beaute Sun Kissed Bronzer,...

ABC faced a seesaw Wednesday with a huge turnout for the finale of Dancing With the Stars and a less-than-huge retention for the two-hour premiere of new drama Day Break.
The 8 p.m. Dancing finale brought in 27.5 million viewers and a 7.1 rating/19 share in adults 18-49 as former NFL running back Emmitt Smith took the trophy. ABC had a hard time getting that crowd to stick around for the 9-11 p.m. debut of Day Break (10.2 million, 3.6/9), which was topped by CBS' Criminal Minds (16.5 million, 4.9/12) and CSI: NY (16.2 million, 5.2/14).
The two-hour season premiere of NBC's Medium couldn't keep pace either, bringing in 9.4 million viewers and a 3.5/9 in the demo from 9-11 p.m.
CBS opened the night with Jericho (9.3 million, 2.9/8). Fox was on the sidelines with a double dose of Bones, which rattled 7.8 million viewers and a 2.9/8 with an original at 8 p.m.
For the night, ABC led with 16.1 million viewers and a 4.8/13; CBS was a competitive No.
