When Baryshnikov finishes his continuum pirouettes at the Coda of Don Quixote his hair is all messy. At the Camera cut the immediate new shot he is perfectly brushed and gelled up.
When everybody is warming up on stage before the Gala Performance, you can see Baryshnikov practicing his jumps for "Le Corsaire" and is already wearing the costume. However, the program shows that he first dances the Grand Pas de Deux of Sleeping Beauty.
During the Romeo and Juliet "pas de deux" at the ballet studio you can see the cameraman kneeling on the mirror.
During the Gala Performance sequence, when Baryshnikov is circling the stage with leaps in his "Le Corsaire" solo, the shadows of the camera on its tripod and two crew members are clearly visible on the floor.
When Amelia finishes her first solo part in the climactic Don Quixote pas de deux, her mother (Shirley MacLaine) clearly yells, "Bravo." As a ballerina herself, the mother should have yelled, "Brava."
