TOUGH KUNG FU KID is a Hong Kong comedy with a bit of martial arts thrown in to justify the title. It's one of the cheapest and most slapdash of its type, featuring all manner of cheesy over the top nonsense in a plot which involves - and I'm not making this up - bank notes hidden inside toilet roll! The supporting cast includes a few Shaw Brothers old-timers, but the main cast simply mug their way through their roles. The highlight? The opening rendition of The Beatles' Obladi Oblada, which is something to behold.
