Sweet and eager virginal bimbo Candy (an endearingly ditsy portrayal by buxom blonde bombshell Carol Connors) embarks on a cheery carnal odyssey after going all the way for the first time with hunky Mexican gardener Manuel (a broad caricature by Don Fernando). Writer/director Gail Palmer keeps the enjoyably inane story moving along at a brisk pace, maintains an engagingly easy'n'breezy tone throughout, and milks loads of laughs from the merry sense of raunchy humor. Connors's bubbly and voluptuous presence makes this one a total treat to watch: Carol projects a certain disarmingly daffy charm, has a great full figure, and gives her proverbial steamy all in her sex scenes (her strenuous session with the legendary John Holmes as a smooth jogger in particular stands out as the definite scorching highlight). The tip-top cast of familiar 70's adult cinema faces helps a whole lot: Georgina Spelvin as the foulmouthed and uninhibited Auntie Kraven, Turk Lyon as dorky researcher Dr. Hy Kollonic, John Leslie as sleazy gynecologist Dr. Fillmore Entry, and Paul Thomas as horny phony guru Graham Hollander. Bob Lazar's sparkling cinematography provides an attractive bright look. Nice cute'n'catchy theme song, too. And the final gag is simply priceless. An irresistibly silly hoot.

I read that the director ," Gail Palmer," actually was a ghost director for her boyfriend who produced it. Later she filed a law suit against him for not sharing the profits from the films ,he actually produced. If this is true . This is typical of what is drawn to adult biz influenced by the legal and political prejudice against. Originally it was a book written by Terry Southern later made into a mature family film in 1968. Then in1978, or maybe earlier in 77, it was made into an XXX movie, but , Gail had based it on public domian Voltaire's ," Candide', which Southern would discovered. It still the same character. .Part of a double feature put out by Vinegar Syndrome on Blu- Ray which includes ,"Candy goes to Hollywood". I have to say Carrol Connors is more voluptuous than Ewa Aulin .That movie was just suggesting sex. This version as always in her film, Gail Palmer shows up in this film as Candies friend and also narrates some aspect of the movie. It seems , that, Candy is an over protected adult child ,20 years, actually older than that, by her over protected father ,played by Eddie Cannon. Still a virgin. I got the Impression , of the film , that it has a women's touch in it I believe that Gail Palmer was involved. After her father catches Candy with Don Fernando , as a gardener , Eddie ends up in an accident and winds up at the hospital. Then you meet her other relatives. Her lecherous aunt played by Georgina Spelvin and dim witted uncle ,same actor , who is also a drink. The Aunt thinks that Candy is putting on an virgin act. The sequence that is funny is when the Uncle is so drunk and tries to take advantage of Candy. Then the the nurse comes in either Newtor or Black. The drunk jumps on the nurse causing Candies father to fall out of the bed getting up and leaving. Candies Uncle knocked down . The nurse thinks that's Candies father and puts him in the bed. Candy decides to visit her other aunt. She is more understanding and not lecherous, but , as she waits for the bus changes ,she meets John the wadd and he takes advantage of her too ,in his apartment when he invites her to lunch .Tricking her to believe that he has an abnormality. More confused she talks to her aunt , played by Pat Rhea . Warns Candy that she needs to play it safe. She sends her to John Leslie doctor and his nurse played by Kristine Heller. He takes advantage of her dumbness, too. She ends up meeting Paul Thomas portraying a white Indian guru who puts on an encounter group. In the group sex scenes you got some porn star appearances . Joey Silvers. Legend Rick Lutes and Chris Cassidy. For a hetero film some gay sex also. With an appearance of gay porn star Al Parker. It looked like him . There is a surprise ending . The same year another adult producer would copy this film with Voltaire's Candide with a brunette version of the air head Pretty Peaches. Now to part two Candy goes to Hollywood.......... Now back to part 1. As most restored adult classics it's in it's original widescreen ratio. 09/10/19
