the art of pottery on a now divided peninsula
lee_eisenberg9 August 2021
Paul Raimondi's Academy Award-nominated "Koryo Celadon" looks at Korean pottery. Obviously this is only a glimpse at the topic, but the viewer gets the idea that this is an involved process, requiring a lot of discipline. The word Koryo - and the name Korea - comes from the Goryeo Dynasty, which ruled the peninsula from 918 to 1392. I'm sure that there are people who devote their lives to studying the history of Korean pottery, but for the time being I'll have to take this documentary as the main source of information (along with what I've read about Korea's history).

Worth seeing. Available on YouTube.
