It has been claimed that the movie was temporarily withdrawn from release because it was so successful the distributors ran out of 3D glasses.
The movie's "Comin At Ya!" title has nothing to do with the film's story and relates purely to the 3D gimmick of the picture.
The first 3D film of the 1980s.
Things that were "comin' at ya" in 3D included darts, snakes, guns, beans, rats, spears, grasping hands, spiders, a bowling ball, bats, gun barrels, swords, cowboys falling down stairs, a spinning yo-yo and pinwheel, gold coins, apple peels, flaming arrows and a baby's bottom.
During the bat attack sequence, several of the women's screams heard are recycled from the English dub track to Dario Argento's Inferno (1980).
