- 100HitfixDrew McWeenyHitfixDrew McWeenyI'm giving this an "A" letter grade because I find it utterly absorbing, start to finish. I don't know if I think it's a good film, but it is a powerfully compelling film. Perhaps my favorite kind of strange or insane film is the personal passion project, and "Roar" is one of the most remarkable examples of this.
- 80The GuardianJordan HoffmanThe GuardianJordan HoffmanThere’s really not much going on with Roar storywise. But then you take a step back and think about what it is that you’re watching. My viewing of Roar was set to a soundtrack of “Oh my God!” and “Holy crap!”, all of my own making.

- There almost certainly will never be anything like Roar again, and that’s reason enough to check it out.

- 20The DissolveKeith PhippsThe DissolveKeith PhippsHowever misguided, it’s clearly one from the heart, a movie that should never have happened, and one that’s hard to believe actually exists. Roar is one of a kind. With any luck, it always will be.
