Sex & Nudity

  • Lots of sexual innuendo and juvenile jokes.
  • A group of young women walk down a beach in revealing swimsuits.
  • A young man is shirtless a great deal throughout the film.

Violence & Gore

  • A lot of fake pirate sword fights in a comedic manner, complete with silly music and pizza (not pie) fights.

Profanity

  • Three uses of "shit", one use of "bitch" (in context: "Have you tried running in one of these things lately? It's a real bitch."), and one use of "damn". One implication of a near F-word.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The Major-General drinks brandy with dinner. A few cocktails are shared.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A girl's boat overturns and she washes up on shore unconscious.
  • A pirate ship sinks with no deaths.
  • A man is locked in a coffin, which is then run through with swords but he escapes unharmed like a magician.
  • overall, this is a rather tame film, considering its overall lighthearted nature, label as a musical comedy, and PG rating.
