Sex & Nudity

  • An adult Kim and Nicholas hold hands near the end of the film; a relationship is implied.

  • Nicholas chases the Care Bears; it is implied that he wants to hurt or destroy them.
  • Children physically fight in one scene under the influence of a spell, although none of them appear seriously hurt.

  • There is no use of alcohol, no smoking, and no drugs in this film. Nicholas appears in the latter half of the film to be in a trance-like state, but this is the result of black magic.

  • The Evil Spirit may be frightening to younger viewers.
  • Nicholas lives with a magician at a circus; the two are not blood relatives, and the man has an underage kid working for him as an apprentice. It is implied that Nicholas is an orphan who was taken in. This may upset some viewers.
  • We see the Care Bears' "caring meter" go down and the world enveloped in darkness as Nicholas uses black magic. This may frighten younger viewers.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • At the film's climax, Nicholas becomes completely under the influence of The Evil Spirit and takes on an a more evil and eerie appearance which may frighten younger viewers.
  • In the beginning of Mr Cherrywood's story, he mentions Kim and Jason's parents "went away", which nicely implies that they died (the word "death" could not be mentioned since the plot is targeted at children).
