Sex & Nudity

  • There are 2 scenes where Fievel is undressed without his shirt and pants on. Fievel is seen taking a bath and Henri the pigeon takes him out and puts the pants and shirt on Fievel. Another scene is where Tony pulls Fievel out of the bath and Fievel barely has time to put on his hat, shirt and pants on, but his pants fall down as he's running, then as Fievel is looking down in the sewer drain his furry bottom is seen. But since Fievel has fur it doesn't matter since he's a mouse anyways.
  • A woman's girdle is briefly seen thrown at Fievel. Not really risqué.
  • In one scene, a feather falls from the hat of a female mouse onto her breast. A male mouse reaches for it and she slaps his hand.
  • Very mild romantic interactions between Tony and Bridget with a couple shots of innocent one second smoochies.

Violence & Gore

  • A musical number involves a few mentions of mice being killed by cats.
  • In one scene scene, a mouse's corpse is displayed during a funeral.
  • Fievel is nearly run over by a speeding train. Sparks fly as he is knocked off an elevated track. However, he lands in a pile of soot, unharmed.
  • Fievel gets stuck on a phonograph player while women scream and toss multiple objects, none of which hit him.
  • A sharp-toothed eel briefly chomps on some bugs.
  • A cat sets fire to a building. When firemen arrive to put it out, Fievel is hit by a blast from a fire hose.
  • No blood is shown in this film

Profanity

  • No profanity, but occasional hurtful phrases used by certain characters such as "Shut up!", "Pipe down!", "You little runt/rat!" and "You're trash/pitiful!" There is also one use of "blasted" by a secondary character.
  • None.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Pitchers of what appears to be an alcoholic beverage are seen on the cats' card tables, but we do not see them drinking it.
  • A rat is shown smoking a cigar in various scenes. At one point, he blows the smoke into his pocket, making the cockroach inside cough.
  • A mouse is shown drinking champagne which causes him to hiccough.
  • A cat at a poker table is seen with a cigar in his mouth.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Some may find the song "Somewhere Out There" very emotional.
  • Fievel reunites with his father.
  • While on deck during a storm, Fievel is washed overboard by a giant wave of water that resembles a monstrous being. He and his father repeatedly cry out to one another.
  • A couple of scenes involving ferocious like cats wrecking havoc, including one scene where Fievel almost gets eaten by a cat. He is shown tumbling down the cat's throat but is able to pull himself out.
  • The giant, mechanical mouse that the mice sic on the cats during the climax may frighten some young children as it is drawn realistically with glowing yellow eyes.
  • The overall plot involves Fievel's family believing that he has died.
