it's wacky... gets better as it goes along.

Imdb has this is released in 1988, but roku channel has this as 1987. Another flick where no-one says anyone's name, so it takes a while to figure out who is who. Life on the streets. This one runs like a john waters film, but his films have more plot than this. Twenty minutes in, and no storyline yet. Drag queens, stuttering, and janet, who seems to have just arrived on the scene. When one of the gang is murdered, they all have to stick together. Directed by catherine ord. The first and last film she has directed so far. The film comes from canada, acc to imdb, but it could be any city. Everywhere they go, we see the red maple leaf. This one gets better as it goes along, script-wise. Things start to happen about halfway through. During the end credits, we learn this is based on a 1985 short film by catherine ord and william mackay. The opening credits state "written, produced, and directed by catherine ord." it's pretty good, if you like the wacky and offbeat.
