Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • Cathy has a conversation with Chris while she is bathing and at one point shares a bed with him, however this is not sexual in any nature, however the grandmother becomes enraged by this, believing that the two siblings are sleeping with each other. Also mentions of the mother commuting incest, the children being a product of such relationship.

Violence & Gore

  • Cory, the youngest child falls ill after consuming cookies and dies. (It is later revealed that his own mother poisoned him). The death isn't shown, but after he's taken from the room, the scene cuts to the gardener burying something(presumably the child's body), the camera pans over to show that 3 other graves have also been dug for the other children. Very creepy and eerie

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The grandmother is an abusive and mean spirited religious fanatic who behaves cruelly towards her own grandchildren and her daughter. The mother is revealed to be manipulative, narcissistic, calculating and just as wicked.
