- Full female rear nudity for close to a full minute
- A group of young boys watch a woman undress in her apartment from a rooftop perch. She is seen nude from behind, dancing.
- A man and a woman begin to make love on a rooftop--the scene ends just as they're starting, and then begins again as the man pulls up his pants.
- A boy brings a condom to school for show and tell but does not know what it is. Played for laughs.
- A woman's date tries to get fresh with her in his car but is scared off before anything really happens.
Violence & Gore

- A mobster is shot by another mobster. The shooter pulls the trigger but we do not see the impact. No blood or gore -- the scene is played for comedy.
- A man threatens to kill a woman and plans where to dump her body with his elderly mother. Again, played for comedy.
- A boy is frequently hit upside the head by his mother and father. He is whipped once (non-graphically) with a belt for misbehaving.
Profanity

- Surprisingly little profanity. Maybe a few "damn"s here and there but nothing stronger. 2 uses of Jesus 1 use of shut up, God's name is combined with the D word.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Since the film is set in the 1940s, there is a copious amount of smoking. Almost all adult characters are seen smoking and a main character works as a cigarette girl.
- There is a fair amount of drinking. Mostly champagne and wine at dinners and celebrations.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Another intense scene is a part where a man and woman in a car plan to make out in a fog, when a radio dramatization of Orson Welles War Of The Worlds comes on over the radio, the broadcast itself is rather intense, but the scene however ends comically.

Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Nothing frightening, but there is a decent amount of time devoted to a news bulletin about a little girl who fell down a well and became trapped. The attempt to rescue her is suspenseful and ultimately tragic. We hear the report on the radio that the six-year-old died while trapped.
