As the Hollywood blockbuster machine continues to dust itself off and release some early winter hits, Hulu is going in a bit of a different direction with its list of new releases for November 2021.
There are no big Hulu original films of note this month. Instead there’s a whole host of original series. The TV parade starts on Nov. 5 with the release of Animaniacs season 2. Also getting a second season this month is monarchal comedy The Great on Nov. 19. The most intriguing series, however, is animated Marvel comedy Marvel’s Hit Monkey. As its name so graciously implies, this is a show about a hit monkey…as in monkey assassin. Naturally the hit monkey is haunted by the ghost of Jason Sudeikis because it’s important that everything make sense.
Though Hulu doesn’t have any original movies in November, its list of library movie titles is quite vast.

Out-of-town tryouts aren’t just for the theater world. There’s a rich tradition in rock, too, of taking to the road to test and strength unrecorded material, although the custom is on the ropes, obviously, in the YouTube era. Joe Jackson still believes in the process: For July , he tacked a 15-city mini-tour of secondary markets onto the tail end of two years of gigging, for a two-fold purpose, he explained during Sunday’s tour finale in Boise.
The short trek was to hit places he’d “rarely or never played before, here being the latter,” Jackson said shortly into a two-hour set at Idaho’s sold-out, 1,400-seat, sphinx-filled, 91-year-old Egyptian. “The other reason is to try out some new songs, as our next stop is the recording studio. Do you mind? … I figured it was only polite to ask, even though we’re gonna do them anyway.”

Floyd Mayweather has no problem with Donald Trump’s leaked comments to Billy Bush about groping women. In a recent Hollywood Unlocked interview, the now-retired boxing champ defended Trump’s hot-mic remarks from 2005 that surfaced last year in the throes of the presidential campaign. In the recording, Trump boasted that his celebrity makes him appealing to women: “You can do anything. Grab ‘em by the p—y.” “People don’t like the truth,” Mayweather said. “He speak like a real man spoke. Real men speak like, ‘Man, she had a fat ass. You see her ass? I had to squeeze her ass.

From the moment Imperator Furiosa takes a hard left into the desert to the second the end credits rolls, Miller is not interested in the status quo whether it comes to stunts, storytelling, or stereotypes. During a recent episode of Fox & Friends, host Steve Doocy gave a platform to Penny Young Nance, the CEO of Concerned Women for America, to reveal why she is very concerned this week: "Are movies like the Disney smash-hit about an ice queen and her sister empowering our girls by turning our men into fools and villains?"
News: No one loves ‘Frozen’ more than this adorable dancing baby!

If it doesn’t seem like we’re taking the so-called “Frozen Effect” seriously, it’s just because we’re not.

Tamar Braxton And Adrienne Bailon On Chris Brown
Brown, known for his explosive temper, let loose on Instagram Monday following a 5-minute segment on The Real in which Braxton mentioned that Tran and Brown might need friends to intervene in their relationship.

Following her impassioned speech at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City on Saturday (September 20), Emma Watson has been on the receiving end of all kinds of encouragement from her famous friends.
The “Perks of Being a Wallflower” babe introduced her new #HeForShe campaign at the event after she recently "realized that fighting for women's rights has too often become synonymous with man-hating. If there is one thing I know for certain, it is that this has to stop."
"We want to end gender inequality, and to do this, we need everyone involved...We want to try to galvanize as many men and boys as possible to be advocates for change and we don't just want to talk about it. We want to try and make sure that it's tangible,” she added.
From there, celebrities took to Twitter to voice their support. Douglas Booth wrote, I am a passionate supporter of gender equality.

In his new book, In Real Life: Love, Lies & Identity in the Digital Age, Nev Schulman — the boyish host of the MTV show Catfish — writes about the time he was “tossed out” of Sarah Lawrence College for punching a girl in the face. In the passage, Schulman explains away his behavior by saying he “hadn’t been aware of” the fact that the person he punched was a woman, because she was “short, stocky, crew-cut-styled.” So it struck many former students at Sarah Lawrence as hypocritical when Schulman tweeted a selfie from an elevator on Monday night, condemning former Ravens running back Ray Rice for domestic abuse against his wife, with the message “Real men show strength through patience and honor. This elevator is abuse free.”The anecdote Schulman shares in the book is also strange, not just because of the casual tone in which it’s written, but...

Dave Bautista is whipping up a storm in Hollywood.
The wrestler has impressed fans and critics alike with his devastatingly dry take on Drax the Destroyer in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, and a sequel has already been confirmed
But while we never thought we'd say this when the boos rang out during the Royal Rumble, we're already missing Batista from the WWE.
Stephanie McMahon and Paul Heyman are pulling out all the stops, but when it comes to in-ring bad guys, Batista may not be the heel the WWE Universe deserves, but he's the one it needs right now.
Below, Digital Spy rounds up the reasons why Batista's most-recent WWE run shows that he has plenty more to offer when he makes his inevitable return.
1. He can incite a proper slap from Stephanie McMahon, and take it as well

Why Watch? Fletch Ferguson is an awesome Frisbee golfer who achieved everything he set out to achieve at an absurdly young age. So what’s his next step? A career shift that will change his entire epic life. This short film from Zen Freese is a bombastic celebration of a huge personality condensed to an appropriately-long time: a single minute. As you can guess, it’s built with quick-cut editing that channels Edgar Wright’s visual style (complete with Pilgrim-esque animation), but the overall feel is a sprinting version of the “Real Men of Genius” beer ads. Everything is larger than life, except the subject. Fletch wins by sheer hyperbole. The music is delightfully upbeat, creating a constant (and repeating) thrumming that the visuals keep time to. However, the cherry on top is the radio-ready voice over narration that delivers achievements both unimpressive and mediocre as dry as you like. What...

The cast is game, and hit the right notes balancing cartoonishness and charm. As sitcom rom-coms go, it’s far from the worst one ever offered to us. I’m “biast” (pro): I am amused by Nick Frost
I’m “biast” (con): the premise didn’t thrill me
(what is this about? see my critic’s minifesto)
The best thing about the halfhearted, old-hat Cuban Fury is its tagline: “Real men dance.” Of course they do, and I like the implication that we’re going to see some tired stereotypes get smacked. And we get a bit of that, for the second best thing in Cuban Fury is the dance fight between Nick Frost’s schlubby engineer and his appalling jerk of a coworker, played by Chris O’Dowd — it’s funny not for any suggestion that they, as men, shouldn’t be dancing, but because each character...

Real Men Dance. So goes the logline on the new poster for James Griffiths’ upcoming comedy, Cuban Fury, and by that estimation, leading man Nick Frost is as manly as they come.
The film was originally due to be released earlier in the year, before going back for reshoots. And with a Valentine’s Day 2014 release date firmly set, StudioCanal finally released a great first trailer last month, and now they’ve debuted a new UK quad poster over on Heat.
Beneath Bruce Garrett’s shabby, overweight exterior, the passionate beating heart of a salsa king lays dormant. Only one woman can reignite his Latin fire. Spotlight hits, sweat drips, heels click – Nick Frost Is Cuban Fury.
Rashida Jones, Chris O’Dowd, and Olivia Colman complete the brilliant leading quartet, with Ian McShane, Alexandra Roach, Rory Kinnear, and Wendi McLendon-Covey starring alongside them.

Bodybuilders try to pull off the perfect crime in Michael Bay's Pain & Gain. Matt provides 10 manly reasons why you should see it...
“What a bunch of beefcakes!”
It’s rare that you’ll hear 80 men in a cinema exclaim this at the exact same time. But then, Pain & Gain, the new film from action director Michael Bay, is a rare movie. It’s around 130 minutes of testosterone-flooded mania. You could axe fight a lumberjack over an uncooked steak and it still wouldn’t be as manly as Pain & Gain. You could arm wrestle Chuck Norris while farting and it wouldn’t come close to being as tough as Pain & Gain. You could beat Wolf on every stage of Gladiators while clad entirely in lycra and you’d still be a distance off of the masculinity of Pain & Gain.

4. The first ever Turner Prize is awarded to Malcolm Morley.
5. Madge writhes around in a wedding dress at the MTV Video Music Awards while performing "Like A Virgin."
6. "Clydesdale" was slang for an All-American boy.

What’s the deal with all the ambiguity in movies, anyway? Real men don’t mess around with the unknown – they demand answers. Facts. Resolutions supported by hard evidence. What’s so good about leaving things up to the imagination? Do we really need that? In the cases of pretty much every movie ever made, then, real men are kind of screwed, given that motion pictures have really got a thing about not explaining every little detail, and occasionally opt to leave things unexplained on purpose, so you can spend the rest of your life pondering the answers.
So although we’re really not supposed to know the answers to questions I’ve assembled for inclusion on the list, all of which were purposely left unresolved in a bunch of famous movies for good reason, we still want to sort of (definitely) know the answers, because that’s the point,...
