This series, the live-action films that feature Freddie Prinze Jr., and the 2020 CGI film mark the only times that the character of Freddie Jones has been voiced by someone other than Frank Welker.

It is not known who sang the opening theme song and the singer is not credited in the end credits and to this day the singer's identity remains a mystery.

They went to Warner Bros. to restart their long-moribund animation department, and their first project there was Tiny Toon Adventures (1990). In an interview with Nostalgia Critic (2007) in 2010, Ruegger stated that this show was what got him and his team the job.
