Sex & Nudity

  • Pretty sexual intense scene for a TV movie. A husband and wife, are planning to have sex in the Kitchen. The wife has her legs wrapped around the husband's waist, too much for children to see on television.

Violence & Gore

Profanity

  • Pretty mild made for TV fare. Occasional hells and damns, nothing worse, and pretty infrequent.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Nothing frightening per say but the whole movie is very emotionally intense and may be a lot for very sensitive viewers to handle. Still it does have some very positive messages to it.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • There is an attempted rape by a corrupt security guard near the end of the film towards the mother but the guard is stabbed in the leg by her son attempting to protect his mom before anything too bad happens. No actual sexual intercourse and the scene is brief but very intense and potentially disturbing.

Violence & Gore

  • A boy stabs a man in the leg with scissors trying to protect his mother from being raped. The attempted rape is not shown in any graphic detail and the man is stabbed before anything too bad can happen. The stabbing shows very little blood. Some pushing and shoving. A man hits a few other dangerous people with metal objects trying to protect his family.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Jeff Daniels character gets drunk after a heated argument with his wife and has vomit all over his shirt later. Aside from brief drunken behavior the scene is pretty brief and he promises not to drink again and isn't seen doing so for the rest of the film.
